Q: Yesterday I saw a gynocologist who precribed hormones. She gave me perscriptions for estradol .5 & promentrium 100. because I am menopausal, most testing, she said isn't necessary. Are these hormones right for me? I am very sensitive to certain drugs. I have no sore breasts, no periods, no bloating. But I do have sleep problems night sweats & anxiety. I don't know what to do. will either of these effect my asthma? I really trust your advice over anyone else I have talked to you and really appreciate your opinion. I havn't started taking these pills yet.
thank you very much, minnie
A: Minnie,
They should be fine for you. The only possible problem could be if you have an allergy to peanuts, for Prometrium is made with peanut oil. I recommed this basic combination frequently. We could also combine both hormones in one oil capsule for you that is made with safflower oil. To combine the two would allow you to pay only one copay for the prescription. They should not affect your asthsma adversely and if any other side effects occur, then we would have to fine tune the dose to fit you more precisely. I would advise that you take it at night about 1 to 2 hours before bedtime everyday. If you are interested in my idea please contact me. We do ship anywhere and accept many insurance programs.
